Job Description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and tenacious individual who will help us reach out to our end users while assisting the sales team with our company’s expansion. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for engaging with potential customers, geologists and geological engineers, to assess if our solution can bring value to their projects.


Additional responsibilities include identifying and brainstorming new ways to engage potential customers, collaborating with our marketing team on various initiatives, and performing technical demonstrations of our product suite. You will also gain insight on customer needs and work with our internal product team to assist in the scope and prioritization of new features.


RockMass is a global company and offers flexible work hours as many clients are in various time zones. Willingness to occasionally work outside of conventional working hours is a requirement.


You will report directly to the Sales Manager and work alongside the sales, marketing, and product teams.

Responsibilities

As a Business Development Representative with RockMass, you will be responsible for reaching out to and engaging with potential customers. Within one year of working at RockMass, you can expect to:


  • Grow our sales to expand throughout North America and globally
  • Reach out to geologists, engineers and managers through the means of social media, email, and calls
  • Perform live technical demonstrations of RockMass’s product offerings to prospective clients
  • Identify new approaches and optimizations for our outreach and technical demonstration booking process
  • Collaborate with the sales and product team to create messaging and positioning for new hardware and software products that are aligned and optimized for full funnel performance
  • Track and report monthly and quarterly sales targets to the Sales Manager

Skills and Experience

  • Self-starter who is highly motivated and can make decisions autonomously
  • Highly collaborative team member who is open to new ideas and concepts
  • Background experience in geotechnical engineering or geology is an added benefit
  • Experience working within a sales or technology company is an added benefit
  • Proficiency with social media platforms such as LinkedIn is an added benefit
  • Proficiency with mining industry post processing software (e.g. Leapfrog, Deswik and Rocscience) is an added benefit

Nice to have

  • General understanding of the mining and infrastructure industry is a benefit, but not required
  • Multi-lingual is a strong asset, please indicate this on your application
